In 2003 Steve DeGraff established his practice as a Financial Advisor. Now, with offices in Groton and New Haven, that practice has grown to include a team of dedicated professionals whose mission is to help business owners, individuals, and families organize their financial lives and plan for their future.

Steve DeGraff has been working with families and business owners for nearly twenty years. He comes from a family business background, having worked with his father, jointly running a successful boatyard in Upstate New York. Twenty years ago, when Steve's parents went to sell their business and retire, there was no one person who understood the entire process.
As a Financial Planner and Certified Exit Planner, Steve now serves as that person. From personal planning, business planning, or divorce planning, Steve understands the many decisions that must be made, and how to guide clients through each step.
Steve has served clients in CT, RI & NY since 2003. He joined the National Financial Network (NFN) team in 2016, recognizing the value offered by their resources and team culture. In 2019 he established the Groton, CT office for NFN. Now with offices in Groton and New Haven he can better serve the needs of clients throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Steve received a degree in Economics from Cornell University. He is a contributor to, and past board member for Women & Family Life Center in Guilford CT. He also teaches financial education at Gateway Community College in New Haven. His community service has also included participation with Rotary International and Leukemia Cup Regatta sponsorship . Steve is an avid sailor and resides in Niantic, CT with his wife and two sons where he enjoys sailing and shoreline life. He holds a CExP certification, series 7, 6, 65 & 63 securities licenses, as well as his Life & Health License.

Amanda joined the life insurance and mortgage protection industry in 2018. She has worked as a Corporate Trainer, Waitress/Bartender, Administrative Assistant, and Event Coordinator in the past but decided to build a career helping others when she moved to Connecticut.
With the support of NFN Amanda is growing her financial services practice by educating clients about protection, growth, and distribution of assets. She has a keen sense for listening beyond what is said and addresses underlying causes of stress within someone’s financial world. Understanding what may keep clients awake at night helps her guide the conversation to develop a tailored financial plan. Amanda understands the importance of financial stability in the home and it begins and ends with education. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys going on hikes and exploring the outdoors.

Brittni has been in the financial services industry since 2016. She started her financial career at Edward Jones, where her grandfather retired as a financial advisor. She was encouraged by both her grandfather and uncle to join the financial services industry. Brittni had great success with Edward Jones, opening her own office in September of 2018 in Westbrook, Connecticut. Although her practice was growing, she felt there was something missing. A member of the NFN team reached out to Brittni to discuss the future of her practice and she realized what she was missing was the sense of team. After meeting other members of the NFN leadership team and associates within the firm, she felt NFN would become her home to continue to grow and expand her practice.
Brittni uses open and concise communication keeping conversations with clients centered around understating what is most important to them. Establishing goals and having timely conversations to make sure she clearly understands what they are working towards allows clients to feel taken care of. She checks in regularly to make sure clients stay the course and are on track with a plan to achieve their goals. She believes that empowering clients to make their own financial decisions based on the facts of reality and protecting for the curve balls life tends to throw allows her to be viewed as a valuable resource.
In her spare time, Brittni is on the board and an ambassador of the Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce. She is also an ambassador for Big Brothers Big Sisters and has been mentoring her Little since 2016. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending time at the beach when the weather is nice. Brittni is an avid reader, loves traveling absolutely anywhere, and trying out new restaurants.

Josh Blau, like many of us, has had a diverse and experience rich career. First as a business owner and now as a financial professional. He learned the keys to business success in the competitive motorcycle industry, working in and eventually taking ownership of his family's multi-generational Harley Davidson Dealership.
When the time came to exit that business and look for new challenges, he turned his skills and experience to helping other business owners and families learn how to organize and maximize their financial efforts to grow, protect, and prepare for a stable financial future. His personal experiences working in a successful, but stressful family business are directly relatable to what every business owner struggles with: finding time to work on important financial and structural plans that aren't part of the day to day, but make all the difference in the long-term outcome.
Josh joined the NFN team in 2016, and more recently the DeGraff-Financial team within NFN this year as an effort to share his experience with more business owners and families. From personal investments and insurance to business planning, Josh and his team take a step by step approach. With offices in Groton and New Haven, as well as fully virtual meeting capabilities he can serve clients throughout CT & RI. Josh, his wife Jackie, daughter Ariana and son Cason live in Guilford, CT where they raise horses and rescue dogs. He holds his Series 6 & 63 securities licenses, and his Life & Health license.
